The Journey

It was the role of 'Ring Leader" in her kindergarten circus show that started it all. However, being from an island (Grosse Ile, MI) and coming from a family of engineers, it was unclear how she was going to create a living by performing. With the support of her parents and David Copperfield (yes - Mr. Copperfield picked her out of an audience of 5,000 to perform with him at the Fox Theater in Detroit), there was no getting in her flight path.

Jen got a BFA from The University of Michigan. During her junior year, she flew abroad to The Welsh College of Music & Drama in Wales to study Shakespeare (Sonnet 116 is her favorite). She spent a year in Chicago after college where she booked her first on-camera roles (Early Edition, Cupid) and has been expanding her career in Los Angeles ever since.

She was first recognized as "The Mountaineer Girl" after landing a national campaign for Mercury Vehicles in 2002 (her Ford employed parents were pretty stoked about that gig).  Throughout the campaign, she recorded over 450 voiceover spots in a single year. In 2008, Jen received a "Best Actress" award at The Barbados International Film Festival for the role of Samantha Barrett in The Flyboys. The film won over 80 awards worldwide that year.

Jen has appeared in numerous TV shows (The Exes, Dorkumentary, The Game, Judging Amy, Angel, Buffy, Jack & Jill, Good vs. Evil), Films (The Flyboys, Trim, Yesterday Was A Lie, Face The Music), Voiceovers (McDonald's Dollar Menu Campaign, Pier 1, Discovery Channel) and has been a host in many different forms. She's been the commercial spokesperson for 3M Command, Centrum, Claritin-D, Sony, Crest, Febreze, Rockwell, Hip Hop Abs I, II & III, AAA, Dole, Spacebag and iRobot I & II to name a few. You've also seen her in the friendly skies as the host of "Healthwise".

Some of her favorite things: sharing home with her miracle of a husband and two furbabies, adventures with friends, her nickname "Slimmy", dirty hands from gardening, hikes in nature, and Kundalini yoga.  Oh....and at least two sides of homemade ranch dressing on everything.
